Hello everybody,

I have a little problem and don't know what to do:

I have graduated from a Canadian university in 2014 and got my PGWP the same year (for 3 years). Then I went back to my country and came back to Canada just 2 months ago. Basically, I wasted 2 years of PGWP and now only 6 months of it is left. I am unemployed now. At the same time, I have submitted my express entry profile and my CRS score is 400 (now I am working on improving it). My question is: how can I extend my work permit while being unemployed? is it even possible?

You cannot extend your PGWP.

If you want to be able to continue working after the expiry date of your PGWP, you'll need to find an employer who is willing to give you a full time job offer and who can obtain an approved LMIA. You can then apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer.

If you're unemployed, extending isn't possible.

I see... but what if I got an invitation to apply for PR?! I mean , can I stay in Canada while waiting for my PR results with an expired work permit? or I should apply for a visitor visa ?

You cannot legally stay in Canada if your work permit has expired. You should keep your status valid by changing your status to visitor if you want to remain in Canada
