Hi,

I submitted my application for PR last week.(Express Entry)
I have been working in BC for more than a year and now I have job offer from Toronto (ON). If I take this offer and move to Toronto how will it affect my application?

Also, if I consider another job offer from Quebec should I go for it or wait until I receive my PR to not have any delays.

Please advise as I can make a decision . thanks!

1. If you have claimed points for a valid job offer with your current employer, leaving the job could affect your application.
2. No issues moving to Ontario. Moving to Quebec would jeopardize your application, since Quebec is not eligible under Federal immigration programs (they have their own).

Quebec is not eligible under Federal immigration programs
Hi
Thank you.
1) So if I to move to Ontario, then I will need to inform CIC about my address change. But , would that delay my application a lot more?. I don't know if I should just wait for my PR and then move to Ontario. (But , we are never sure how long the PR process might take). Any advise?

2)I have another question. Am I eligible to apply for a work permit(on my own , not through a company) once the PR application is in progress? Thanks again.

Sorry, not sure why you think a change of address would delay your application?

Companies do not apply for work permits, but in any case... I suppose you mean an open work permit instead of a closed one (attached to a specific company). The answer is, "it depends" - when does your current permit expire? You might be eligible to apply for BOWP (bridging open work permit), but you must be within 4 months of the expiry of your current permit.

Thank you for your response.
Ok.It seems I do not qualify then for bridging the work permit

Hi jes_ON,
I had just mentioned BC as my intended province . I have not mentioned Ontario.. Any issues? Thanks a heap in advance.

Don't think so (as long as you did not apply through a PNP stream)... if they are curious they will ask...
