June 24,2014 To God be the glory! PR CARD received: August 22, 2014 (exactly 60 days after landing)! Son's PR card arrived August 27, 2014 (exactly 65 days after landing)
My friend landed at CIC Edmonton as PR in October last year.

She went home to our country last January and got married.

She came back and at the Vancouver airport at the very moment as I type this.

Question is: does she need to tell the IMMIGRATION officer that she's married now? Or it really doesn't matter?

Thanks!

They probably would not ask. Why does she apparently wish to hide that fact?

No, she is not required to inform them of her marriage.

No she's not gonna hide anything! It's just that since she's a new PR, she thought that she needs to declare that she's married. Maybe that's for people who are first time landing in Canada.

Perfect ! Thanks!

She just thought that she needs to declare her husband at the immigration.

She'll be submitting her hubby's application this month via outland. And she doesn't want any problems along the way so she just wanna make sure.

Thank you!
