Hi,

I am Indian Citizen living in US from last 5 years on H1B. I am working as Senior Consultant in IT company and looking to get PR from Canada. Can anybody please give me some pointers to start?

IT got removed FSW1 after 26 June 2010.

Check if you meet the new requirement at CIC website

alternate is if you can get an job offer from Canada company

Thanks. I am not seeing IT in the list so I guess I am not eligible. But you said alternative is to get a job in canada? What does this mean? If I get a job in canada then I have to move first on work permit and can I then apply for PR ?

Please elaborate, it will help me to plan my Canada PR.

Yes You can move on work permit and apply after 1year stay on work permit, meanwhile you can stay on work permit in Canada during your PR file status, yes you can move back to home country too but it will delay some your PR file, so, think to get work permit if you got job, stay there atleast 1year and apply for PR after 1year.
