Dear Folks,
I am new to this forum. I am appliying for the Canadian Immigration under the Federal Skilled Worker Category and have some queries and would appreciate if any of you can advice.
Query 1: If you are not recommended by CIO Canada do you get the application fee refunded?
Query 2: I am married with three kids, but I am only applying for myself and mentioning that my family will not accompany me. If my application is recommended by the CIO Canada for onward processing, at that stage I decides my family to accompany me to Canada can I process my spouse & dependents children for there VISAs at the embassy?
Query 3: I applied for Canadian immigration previously in Jan 2002 while I was living in USA without realizing that there is a new point system effective from 1st Jan 2002. As per the new system I did not have enough points to be qualified because I applied under the point system effective til 31st Dec 2001. I do have a receipt / file number, but I did not pursue my case and left USA and came back to Pakistan realizing that my application would be refused.
I am now re-applying and my query is do I have to check YES to “Previously applied for a Canadian Immigrant” or “been refused an immigrant or permanent resident visa” or should check YES to both in the item number 9 of the Schedule 1 Background / Declaration form?
Query 4: I lived in USA on H1 status for about three years from March 2000 to Feb 2003. I worked for a company A for about 2 years and then laid off. Company B hired me and sponsored my H1 Visa, but due to bad job market could not get me on to a project for 6 to 8 months and therefore was not on a payroll. They finally got me on to a project only for two months. After working on that project I left USA. For the period I was not on the project what should I mention in the Canadian Immigration application. I do have a work experience letter from the company even covering the period while I was not on the payroll.
Query5: In my previous Canadian Immigration application under Personal History I have mentioned that I have been living on ABC address in Pakistan and was a fulltime student, but I have also been visiting my parents living in UAE from time to time but have not mentioned that in my previous application because those visits were short. Now when I am re-applying I am little confused weather I should mention this in my new application and weather by not mentioning that in my previous application was a mistake
Thanks,
