Need Advice...Refugee --> Marriage

Hello there,

I am new to these forums and seeking some advice/suggestions. I met a muslim guy who is living in Canada - currently - went through the refugee process and got denied. He appealed and was denied a second time. Then he appealed to the Federal court and they also denied.

He's story is long but I will try my best to capture the important bits. When he submitted his story with the help of his lawyer he never declared that he is a gay. We were together for a year and half, I was collecting information about our relationship, things were good. But after his first appeal was denied thats when things spiraled. We had discussed marrying but he got afraid of marrying. Instead we broke up and he got himself into an arranged marriage with a muslim women who he is now married to. He submitted his sponsorship paperwork, telling the truth throughout the whole application. he's been married to her for approx 4 months and things don't seem to be working anymore. Can he divorce and remarry? Obviously he will have to resubmit new sponsorship paperwork? Would he even stand a chance if he's put in this situation?

Does he currently have a removal order? Expect a large amount of scrutiny and the marriage of convenience doesn’t help his application. Assume he has now applied for spousal sponsorship. Are you still in a relationship? It seems like you broke up a long time ago. You would also be entering a marriage of convenience if you have not been in a relationship all this time and are getting married so he can stay. He needs to consult a good immigration lawyer.

He's gotten himself into a real mess. I think his chances of being approved if he divorces and remarries are pretty much nil. His immigration history makes it look like he'll do anything to try to remain in Canada. And he's engaged in marriage fraud to get status. I think he needs to get ready to leave Canada.

When was JR refused? Assume he got ,married soon after. He would have to do outland sponsorship and will likely be required to be interviewed in his home country. He needs to speak to a lawyer. This is way too complicated for a forum,

He got married before the federal courts refused his appeal application. Which was the ladder part of 2019. The timing was pretty close between his marriage and the refusal. I don't have exact dates, since we separated there are some things I didnt care to know.

As much as it broke my heart we do remain in touch from time to time.

I figured I'd ask but I'm pretty sure I know his future is very slim.

I suspected this. It's to bad cause him and I were in love but at the final moment he got cold feet and couldn't contiune.

It's a shame but I guess now he'll find out the hard way.

You state that he has been "telling the truth throughout the whole application". He has engaged in a Marriage of Convenience to stay in Canada, which is immigration fraud. He's not telling the truth.

He has been issued a removal order. A conditional removal order is an automatic part of the refugee claim process and it becomes active when the claim is refused.
