Hello, I need an advice whether to change my status to visitor or not.
I've taken a Leave of Absence from my study for 3 terms starting mid-Apr 2020, in order to return to my country. However, my ticket was canceled and the airline has stopped operating during Covid-19 so I have been staying in Canada till today. I still intend to go home and next flight available is on 2 Oct 2020. According to my advisor, I was only allowed to stay here for 5 months from the approved date of my leave and it's almost up. Both my study and co-op work permit are valid till end of 2021. Should I apply for visitor visa so that I can legally stay here for a few more weeks? Thanks.
