Good day. we are migrating to Canada on this month as permanent residents. we were just recently approved PRV. I am briniging a demand/bank draft (more than $10,000) as our funds instead of bringing us dollar cash. my question is do you know how many days it will take for it to clear or for it to be credited upon opening a bank account in Canada? Should i also declare these draft at the Philippine Immigration/airport? Will they ask proof of source of our funds here at the airport in the Philippines?

and is bringing old coins (1944) prohibited or disallowed in Canada?

NEEED YOUR ADVICE OR HELP. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

1. It will take about 30 days to clear in Canada.
2. You will have to report the amount to Canadian Customs on entry very important!
3. No idea, if you have to report it in the Philippines, call and ask.

We were always asked if we had any amount of money to declare on leaving. They consider it as taking fund out of the country.
