Hi everyone, I’m an international student in Montreal and I’ve been working on making tote bags. I’d like to sell them on platforms like Etsy, but I’m unsure if that’s allowed under my study permit since it might count as self-employment. I also know that if I make any sales, I’d likely have to report that income to the CRA when filing taxes, but I don’t want to risk breaking any immigration rules. Does anyone know if international students in Canada are allowed to sell handmade products online, and if so, what steps I should take to do it safely and legally?
