I have done a quick Google search looking for information about what I should do in my current situation and found some. However I am still skeptical so I take those with a pinch of salt.
So basically, long before my parents decided to change my name and nationality, I’ve already had my student visa approved and ready to use. Now that my current credentials are different from what I used to register for my student visa, I believe I am not able to receive my study permit on arrival.
If I am not mistaken, I am still able to bring with me my old passport containing my student visa, along with my new one with my new credentials. Can I just show my previous passport to immigration and explain to them my situation or are there procedures I have to take to legally update my credentials?
