I have an internal passport (apart from the international passport that is used for travelling and for all the visas, permits etc.) that is used within my home country only but it does not have an expiration date. After having talked to a few seniors I was advised to put a fake date and cover it up with the letter of explanation.

I just figured the form still gets validated if you leave that space empty. Can I/Am I allowed to hand write N/A NO EXPIRY DATE in that box? I don't want to get the application back instead of AOR because of this, has anybody handwritten anything on this main application before? Plz help!!!

The form does pass validation if non-essential fields are left blank, I don't see this as being an exception.

Your answer confused the hell out of me ;D so should I leave it blank? I don't really feel comfortable leaving it blank since I have seen cases of returned applications because of blank fieLds. AM I ALLOWED TO HAND WRITE?

If you can get it to validate by leaving it blank, by all means, do that and hand-write in "No expiration date."
