Is it necessary to provide a translated national ID copy along with the PR application or just a copy of the original ID as it is if any?

Everything should be in English or French, no other language is accepted.

But how to translate the national ID then? Because a copy of it cannot be issued in English or French, unlike the birth certificate, from the responsible government body?
