Name on PR card.

Very excited to announce I finally got my PR card in the mail after having to resend pictures and wait and wait and wait. And wait.
But I have it now! Yay..... But my middle name is cut short by 2 letters. None of my paper work was ever like that, so it wasn't an error I made when applying. Is this normal for people with lots of letters in their names? Or should I contact them about the error?!

It wasn't an error. If you read the paper that came with the PR Card, it'll tell you what the limits of characters are, and whatever is longer than that won't show. Half of my super long name was cut because of that. It shows the full name in the remarks (it says "Remarks: Full name: XYZ") in the COPR.

Good to know, I wish they worded things better. When I read the paper it says they will shorten the last name if longer than 20 characters long.... But my middle name was what was shortened. Thanks for answering!

I was pretty sure that for the first name it was 15 characters and 20 characters for the surname, so I went and checked:

"Note: The PR Card has a space limitation of 20 characters (letters) for last names (family names) and 15 characters for given names (first and middle names). If your name is longer, the name on the PR card will automatically be shortened to the first 20 and 15 characters respectively. This is not an error and the PR card cannot be modified to include more characters."
