Hello,

I am an Canadian now. I sent the application for sponsoring my Mothers' immigrantion to Canada in Nov. 2007. But I changed my first name in 2009 (the last year).

Should I notice the Canadian immigration office that I have changed my name?

Appreciate your response and help.

Send Mississauga a copy of the name change with your file no.

I do not have file no. yet, but received a notice letter after my file was sent.

Is there any reference number on the letter I received? I can only see the number like: R00XXXXX
at the bottom of the letter. Is this the file no. you refered?

No, but Mississauga should be able to trace the file with that no. and your name date of birth.
