Name change question

I've tried to search through threads for something similar, but can't seem to find one.

My daughter, an American with PR here, lives in Alberta. She would like to formally change her name. There is a process in Alberta to change names, in other words to obtain the legal piece of paper from which she would go around and make changes to her licence, PR card, banking, etc.

However, the same process exists in Washington state where she was born, which would produce a court ordered document for a legal name change from which she can change her birth certificate and US passport as well.

The question is this: If the process is done in Washington that produces a legal name change document, is that all that would be needed to change her Alberta HC, DL, the PR card, and all of the other things she needs to change? Would she still need such a document from Alberta?

Thanks in advance.
