No, As an accountant under NAFTA you require one of the following.

Accountant: C.P.A.: Certified Public Accountant; C.A.: Chartered Accountant; C.G.A: Certified
General Accountant; C.M.A.: Certified Management Accountant

i found the CIC site for:

Professionals CCFTA/ NAFTA hired by a Canadian employer: required(work Permit) exempt(LMO)... professions identified in NAFTA Appendix 1603.D.1

in the Appendix under accountant it states:
Accountant Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree; or C.P.A., C.A., C.G.A. or C.M.A.

and for

Management Consultant Baccalaureate or Licenciatura Degree; or equivalent professional experience as established by statement or professional credential attesting to five years experience as a management consultant, or five years experience in a field of specialty related to the consulting agreement

it says or... on all of them maybe i do i have hope. i ran my own business and have a management degree and did bits and pieces of accounting work....

You can but the prospective employer has to apply for LMO in your name before you get your WP.

If he can get a work permit under NAFTA he doesn't need a LMO. I'm applying as an intra-transfer employee under NAFTA myself and I don't need a LMO.

im just not sure if it works that way if u r not an accountant but i think it should bc most jobs require a BS is accting or finance...
