Hi everyone ... all of you who got their test or oath letters already ... can you please confirm if you found a 'do not forward' sticker on the envelope or not ? I just called canadapost and they told me that if 'do not forward' sticker is not there then the mail will be forwarded.
Please look at the envelopes and confirm ... thanks!!

Every piece of mail I've received from CIC; PR cards, landing documents, and proof of citizenship all say "do not forward". It's pretty standard for it to be on CIC's envelopes. It's not even stamped, it's part of the printing process.

Sorry no one answered this simple question for you, sooner.

Thanks guys. .. its been confirmed now .... test/oath letter do get forwarded so canadapost mail forwarding works for cic mails perfectly. .. however mails that contain personal docs like PR cards or Passport will definitely have 'do not forward' and it will not be forwarded.

Just an update for anyone who is searching for that info in 2019 and beyond, here is how it works:

Info documents or Permits go WITHOUT "do not forward" :
- PGWP
- Bridge/Open Work Permit (including extensions)
- Any other informative letter

Personal and Identity documents go WITH "Do not forward":
- Passports
- PR cards
- Landing documents
- Proof of citizenship

Quick Question
What about citizenship certificate?

Quick Question
What about citizenship certificate?

It comes in a large brownish yellow envelope that does NOT say "do not forward"
