Hi,

My self and my wife are planning to apply for work visa through FSW. Could any one help me understand, whether we need to apply separately or if i mention her as my spouse in my application form would suffice. I am planning for a job and for her either job/Phd.

We both are post graduates and i have 4+ years of work experience and she has 2 years of work experience.

Thanks in advance,
Sanju.

It depends on both of your NOC's if they are in the 50 occupations list, then both of you can apply with your individual IELTS scores, and if both get PER , at MR stage CIC will ask to sync one application.
and if only one wants to apply, then you can gain an additional 5 points on spouse IELTS score of not less than band 5.

Thank you for the response mr.Hope. What would be the best option according to you??. If i go ahead with one application by adding her details and also gaining the 5 points as mentioned by you , will we both get the PER, and she also will be permitted to work or do her Phd ??

Thanks..

Its your personal call, it depends on the NOC's and how fast they are filling, the set of documents , the total points.
if 5 additional points are gained , then the principal applicant gets the PER, and the dependents are permitted to work or study.

Thank you mr.Hope !! One last query, i have seen the list of 50 occupants list, which doesn't have the code number for "Market Researcher" , wherein i have also downloaded an exhaustive list of 2011 NOC's where it is available as (Market Researcher)4163, Under which "Classified elsewhere - code 1112 is available in 50 list as ""Financial and investment analyst" . Can i go ahead and use the code 4163 - which is more relevant to my experience (though it is not mentioned in 50's list) - Kindly advice !!

Thanks,
