MyCIC different from Payment Online Services?

Hi guys,

I was hoping someone could help me out. I am trying to pay my RPRF at eservices.cic.gc.ca. However, before I can proceed with the payment, I am asked to log in. As I already have a MyCIC account, I tried to log in with my MyCIC email and password but was denied access. So am I right in thinking that the Payment Online Services is a separate from MyCIC system for which I need to register independently? (The two interfaces appear nearly identical, hence my confusion. The addresses are different, though.)

Yes they are different. Same scenario happened to me, and a friend of mine took care of the payment instead. The barcode or the receipt is all they need. I did this almost a year ago, the rules might have changed. I even remember that some lawyers do this on behalf of their clients. So I guess it does not matter who pays.

Just to make sure and stay safe, I would wait for other people to comment on this.
