I am not "clear" if we can be sponsored by my wifes uncle who lives in Alberta.

He is a Canadian resident living in Calgary and is willing to sponsor his niece (my wife) and family. The problem
is that I am the "main bread winner". I am concerned that as she is the "house wife" we may not get in.

Will this affect our application?

Any advice apprectiated.

Many thanks

Kirk

If he has no other "closer" relative (children, parents, grandparents), I believe he can.
Good Luck

Is your uncle married? Does he have children? Are his parents or grand parents alive (anywhere in the world....and it doesn't matter if they don't want to come to Canada or not, they just have to be alive)? If you answer yes to any of these questions, he can't sponsor you. If the answer is no, he can look into sponsoring as a "lonely Canadian".
