You can be removed from Canada and that will result in an inland app being cancelled.

This isn't accurate. It's possible you may be able to remain in Canada without status and successfully get PR. However there's also some chance CBSA could decide to remove you (even with an active CL application in progress). If you are removed, this will cancel the inland CL application.

BTW: No point linking to information on immigration expert / lawyer web sites. They aren't IRCC. The only website that holds any weight is IRCC/CIC.

If you want to waste your money, that's your business. Your departure order will become a deportation order shortly. There's no point posting in this forum. Do what you will.

To clarify, OP has not yet been issued a Departure Order. A Departure Order has a specific date by which a person must leave and communicates the consequences if they don't.

Right, I assumed that when she said she was asked to leave immediately, it was a departure order. Reading again, that isn't the case.
