My Student Visa Request was Rejected in the Past! Will this create any problem?

My student visa application was rejected in 2004 for Canada. And now I am planning to apply for Express Entry. Will this create any problem for me or reduce my chance to get PR? :'(

Depends on the reason for rejection. If the rejection was not related to inadmissibility (security/criminality ground, misrepresentation, etc.) than it is irrelevant to your PR application. Be honest when you fill your PR application and don't ommit information about visa refusal.

It won't create any issues as long as you mention this refusal in your PR application. If you fail to mention the refusal in your PR application - you will have problems.

There were concerns about your return when you applied for a student visa. However, now you are applying for a permanent residency, so your rejection will not be an issue at all. This is because now you are applying with an intent to reside in Canada.

Just mention that your student visa was rejected in the application and you will be fine.
