MY PR application got returned due to my DOB issue

Hi,
I have submitted an affidavit on behalf of my daughter since her birth certificate was in hindi and also mentioned that it was translated in english from onehourtranslation.com.
But my PR application was returned with reason send a notarized translation with a copy of the original version.
So should I need to just send the translated document with same affidavit. Whether I have to provide the letter which came with the returned application.
In short do I need to inform cic that my application was returned.
So while reapplying again do I need to refill and reprint all application form again.

please guide what should I do?

Hmmm... are you sure that's exactly what it says? Instructions do not ask for a notarized translation. Instruction guide says:

- the English or French translation;
- an affidavit from the person who completed the translation; and
- a certified copy of the original (Hindi) document.

Not clear about the affidavit - is the affidavit from you, or from the translator? CIC wants the translator's affidavit, not yours.

A quick look at onehourtranslation.com (legal translation section) shows that you can request (in addition to the translation) a "Translation Certificate" which may or may not be accepted by CIC as the "translator's affidavit."

It also says: "Please note that we do not provide notarized translation. For notarized translation you need to go physically to public notary."

It sounds like you need to get (a) a certified photocopy of the original Hindi document. And probably re-do the translation, and get the translator's affidavit. Alternatively, you can get the translation done from a Canadian certified translator (what province are you in?), then the affidavit is waived


So while reapplying again do I need to refill and reprint all application form again.

No, you can resend the same application materials, the letter that came with the returned application would probably be good as well, so they can quickly check to see if you've fixed the issue.

I have "Translation Certificate" from onehourtranslation.com. So does any one know whether it is acceptable by CIC.
Or
I need to re-translate from Canadian certified translator.So do any one know cheapest certified translator in toronto.

As you said I can resend the same application materials so that means the old date mentioned on forms doesn't matter.

It would appear not, since your application was returned. It's not clear if that's the problem, or the fact that you didn't send a certified copy of the original...

Personally, I would do this. Get the translation done by an ATIO-certified translator, then you don't need the translator's affidavit.

Doesn't matter. But if for some reason you want to update your documents, there's no harm in that either.
