My Grandmother was born July 11, 1896 in WestBranch of the River John, Nova Scotia. She became a US citizen before I was born in 1965 (making me 55 now), but was alive for several decades after that - she passed away when I was about 23 or 24 years old. Her sisters' children and grandchildren still live in Montreal and Toronto. Am I a Canadian citizen by descent? Thanks for any responses, and please stay healthy!

Sorry, but you are considered to be of the second generation in relation to your grandmother, and would not be a Canadian citizen by descent because of the first generation limit of the current Citizenship act. Descent is based upon your direct bloodline, so having Canadian relatives does not help you.
