I HAVE APPLIED FOR CANADIAN IMMIGRATION UNDER SKILLED CATEGORY. I HAVE STARTED MY PROCESSING THROUGH LAWYER IN DUBAI. THIS PROCESSING HAS STARTED FROM JULY 2009. OUR LAWYER TOLD US THE WHOLE PROCESSING WILL JUST ABOUT 6 MONTH OR ONE YEAR. I GOT MY FILE NUMBER IN JAN. 2010 & SUBMITTED MY WHOLE SET OF DOCUMENTS WITH IELTS RESULTS IN SEPT. 2010. FIRST MY FILE SENT TO SYDNEY & THEN TRANSFERRED TO UK, I DONT KNOW WHY. WHENEVER I CHECK ONLINE STATUS I FIND FILE UNDER PROCESS. MY QUESTION IS WHEN THE CIC WILL SEND US INSTRUCTION FOR OUR MEDICAL. LOOKING FOR GUIDENCE

You mean your status is 'IN PROCESS'? This mean they are working on ur case. Pre June 2010 applications are being processed at a slower pace than post June ones. Hopefully medical request will follow. You've waited this long, a few months wait won't hurt. Just stay put and hood luck! Mandie

RESPECTED SIR/MADAM,

Hi Tahseen

I am not sure why your file was transfered to Sydney ( did you mean Sydney Australia or Sydney Nova Scotia) but its usual that they'd transfer your file to London. I could see that your file has still not reached the IN PROCESS stage. so until that happens, your file would be going a series of Background checks before reaching to a Visa Officer who would check everything, and that is when you'd see your Ecas status as IN PROCESS. I'd say nothing to say until that.

Whats your Nationality?

jnathan, can u please explain how many VOfficers review one application?

Obviously One.
its the same as if you're appearing on an interview, but in this case, you have sent your papers for the VO to assess and let you know his/her decision.

and how many vofficers approx.work in one VO?-those who review applications

It Depends on the country.
CHC ND has the biggest # of employees among all other CHC's around the world. then London and Buffalo.
for Singapore I believe its no more than 6-10, for a country like Austria, its got no more than 2-4 VO's.

TY-i've been wondering about this question many times
