Greetings everyone!
I will be applying for study permit shortly against September 2018 intake. My employer is yet to give me my study leave letter (although I will eventually get one), a document I believe will strengthen my application. However, I have a letter of introduction to the High Commission of Canada which was written by my employer. Will this suffice or should I wait till my study leave letter is ready?

Your responses will be very much appreciated. Thank you.

A letter from your employer stating they are granting you a leave of absence and you still have a job when you come back would be really good for your visa, but not essential.

In my opinion, a study leave letter is as important as an employment letter which similar to showing an employment offer letter. A study leave letter strengthens your home ties more with whatever hometies you've stated.

It's advisable for you to get one as long as you've gotten an employment letter
