Mumbai University attestation process confusion

Hi. I visited the fort campus of Mumbai university and learnt that the attestation of documents are now done by Director - Dept of Students Welfare, Dr. Sunil Patil, Universities Information Bureau. I have been running pillar to post only to learn that the registrar and controller of examination both are no more attesting the documents. Is anyone else also facing this issue in the recent past ?

The department that does it is indeed the Office of the Director - Dept of Students Welfare (behind Jai Hind College). It has been so for a long time now, at least when I did it 18 months ago ! Visit their office in the morning at 10 am
