Hello,

I'm in the process of completing the paperwork and was wondering if I have a problem on my hands. I've married a Canadian woman (in Canada) and have had many long term visits from the US, some up to 3 months. In one case I did a cross country drive whereby I entered Canada via car, but the next time I left, was a round trip from Canada back to Canada (usually it's the other way around, a round trip from the US).

Will it present a problem showing the documentation (airline e-tickets) for several long term visits to Canada, some of which were broken up by round trip flights from Canada to the US? I never sought out work in Canada as I can work anywhere on my laptop via the internet.

Any insight or experience in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Any time you're admitted to Canada at a Canadian port of entry, you're authorized (as a visa-exempt national) to remain in Canada for up to six months. So, no, your "long term" visits of up to 3 months should not adversely affect your PR application. They only serve to demonstrate that this is, indeed, a genuine relationship - and that's a good thing.
