Multiple PR applications

Hello,

My husband received an ITA under CEC class we applied for this and I applied as a spouse under his application, a month after we applied for Express entry he received his BC PNP application approved under skilled category which says this cannot be used for express entry.

Now in this case can we have another application for PR under skill category with the PNP approval?

yes, you can. Whether it is worth the extra expense is up to you.

How long do you have to use the PNP nomination? You might be able to wait for a response to your EE application before it expires...

We have until April 19th 2016 and we applied on October 19 th 2016 for EE PR

So our 6 months timeline for getting a reply from CIC ends on the same day our PNP expires.

Any idea how much time CIC is taking for processing applications for EE?

CIC may only process one application. After 2 files numbers are generated CIC might ask to withdraw one of them right away.

If you have two applications in process, one has to be withdrawn only when the other is ready to be finalized (approved)- like at the time of the passport request. CIC won't ask for that right away -
