has anyone heard from mrs.turan..i wonder what was the outcome of her hubby's application cos she was kinda worried about that cos his ecas said "decision made"

Hi queen latifah. No we're still waiting yet. I e-mailed them three times at the canadian Embassy in Turkey, they actually replied to my e-mail and told me a letter would be arriving shortly. We're still worried, it has been since July 1st since Decision Made. He had his interview already as you probably know, and he was not certain that he answered everything properly(he kinda blanked out on a few important questions).
I've been reading alot on here and have been hesitant to talk until I know something for sure. We talk everyday and everyday I wait for the phone call telling me he got the letter. We have our bad days, the stress is killing us. He tried to phone the Ankara office but has not been able to talk to anyone.

Is his interview in Ankara?

Hello there,

My husband has his interview in Ankara next week as well and he is not from Turkey and does not speak English or Turkish. I spoke to one of the immigration officers on the phone yesterday. An interpreter is NOT provided by the embassy UNLESS your husband needs someone to translate TURKISH into ENGLISH. For all other languages such as Farsi you will need to BRING YOUR OWN.

I just came back from Turkey yesterday and people constantly thought my husband and I were Persian and people told us there are small Iranian communities there so you can always try to find an interpreter there but this is taking a chance. It is best if he can bring someone from home with him who can speak Farsi and English.

Good luck to you! I know how hard it is to wait and wish you a speedy visa after the interview.

oh i see, thunx for letting me know, let me know how the interview goes for you guys, im happy for you i hope he gets his visa ASAP

I just wanted to update anyone interested. My husband landed in Vancouver on December 25th. It took a total of 1 hour to get through Immigration and find his baggage, at 7:30 pm. We took a bus that brought us to the ferry where we went directly to the Vancouver Island. I've been working a lot since he's come, but it took 10 days to get his Social Insurance Card and we're still waiting for his Immigration card. He's been in his english class for almost 2 weeks. We are so happy. Murat loves Canada, I just hope he learns english quick, because my Turkish is getting a lot better now :)

Congratulations Mrs Turan! Had been following your case for sometime now. Happy to know your husband landed! It was an uphill task and you persevered! Truly an inspiring feat. I wish you both a happy happy life. :)
