You must have a medical exam before you can become a permanent resident. Your family members must also have one, even if they are not coming with you.
We will not accept your application if your health:
-is a danger to Canada’s public health or safety, or
-would cause too much demand on health or social services in Canada.
We will send you a letter to tell you how to get the medical exam after we send your application to the visa office.

does that mean that all my family members ( mother, father, siblings ) have to undergo a medical exam even if they're NOT in Canada with me ( they're back in my home country ) and they're NOT coming to Canada with me?
spookyb said:This refers to immediate family members, i.e., spouse and children only.

tbll said:im little over-worried but just incase if there is something doesn't look good in the medical result, what shoudl i do??
Does the clinic show me the results first before sending to CIC???
tbll said:they will send it if everything is fine, what about if there is something wrong??
Let me know first before sending it?
spookyb said:tbll,
If there is something wrong (and we all hope there isn't), the doctor has a set of protocol to do additional tests. Therefore, they will call you, conduct additional tests, and then send a final report to CIC.
