Mr.Qorax your advice plz reg applying for super visa for parents

Mr Qorax I intend to take my mother along with me.I have received my COPR but as family we have not landed yet.I intend to take my mother with me as well.Is that possible since we have not done the landing yet.Please advice.

I don't think you are eligible to get a super visa for your parents. After your landing, try to get your parents one of the regular visiting visas.

No - it's not possible for you to apply for a super visa for your mother now.

Only PRs and citizens qualify to apply for a super visa.

You will have to become a PR first and then obtain a job to meet the Low Income Cut Off (LICO) before you can apply for the super visa.

If your mother wants to visit Canada earlier, she can try applying for a regular tourist visa (temporary resident permit).

Pls let me clarify one thing asap: It's not us who apply for our parents' TRVs (visit visa or PGP-Supervisa) -- it's they who apply for it.. it's the parents' responsibility to request for a visa (for themselves).

Our being PR/Citizen of Canada is a prerequisite. However, the TRVs r assessed on their own merits. All we could do, being a PR/Citizen, is to send them an 'invite letter' stating our ability to support them during their stay (alongwith documentary proofs), which they could attach with their TRV application, just to 'strengthen' it.

Yes, but if we are visiting in the home country, we could translate and explain the forms in their native language and even go with them to the VFS or visa office to submit their application / pick up passport.
