Hey Guys,

A few questions regarding the immigration process. What is the significance of Medical exam request? Does this mean that all the basic assessment is done and the next logical step should be Passport request? Also does the processing "In Process" date(on ecas) come before or after the medical request date(via email) ? I means does any on have the date when processing started after the medical request already came in?

Thanks

Getting the Medical Request only signifies that your application has been picked up for processing. It does not mean that other assessments have been completed. The next step, if you haven't done it upfront is the RPRF payment request. After that, and if all assessments are passed, then one gets the Passport request. In process normally comes in before MR is sent, but exceptions are present for other members in this forum.

Thanks, I guess I am one of the exception. Got MR request a day before the application processing began.

"maniac2403" is 100 % correct .
and you are not exception ECAS don't match with VO activity 100%.

If I did not pay the RPRF fees upfront, do I have to wait till CIC requests it? Or is there an alternative path. I paid the application fees via CreditCard, but I asked them to credit only the 550*# applicants amount.

Thx

You can go ahead and make the upfront payment for RPRF for $480. But I will recommend that you wait for the request as it provides you with a better picture as to when your eligibility is mostly passed.
