Another cheap option is airbnb, check for Rhonda , she is amazing and very supportive

Do tell me more! I am new to this type of temporary housing. Have you tried it? and what was your experience?

Yes we tried this option, the price is better than a Hotel.

My experience was good, I stayed one week in a house in Winnipeg Street / Regina. The host was great she
even gave us her kitchen to prepare our meals.

you can easily save up to 30 cad per day using airbnb

disvantages, if the host has cat or dogs and you don't like them

It sounds like a great option! Could you share the website where you booked your stay? I would like to look into it and learn more about it. And also I am interested in your opinion...Do you find it safe to recommend to newcomers who are not yet comfortable and knowledgeable about Canada? I mean do you think there is any way they could be taken advantage of?

Thank you so much for your response! Looking forward to learn more from you.

www.airbnb.com/

In my case I can recommend you only this person (Rhonda) , because my experience with her was great, some day I was lost in the city and just call her (using facebook)
and she got me a Taxi and she was very kind with my wife and very patience answering our questions.

You could get first hand information about the city, culture, places to eat, etc. something I believe it is more difficult to do with personnel in a Hotel.

by the way it is another option to practice your English.

On the other hand, I suppose that not all the AIRBNB host are so supportive.

take a look to site, get in contact with the people there using the platform of airbnb , they answer all the question you have before
your trip.

There is one query :-

I am a SINP and on my CPR its written landing in Regina, Could it be possible that can i land in Toronto and after 2-3 days I can move to Regina?

Or I have to make the landing in Regina, that I cannot exit from Toronto Airport

Please clarify that doubt or there is someone who has done this, I am getting different reviews from different persons .

Thanks

Guys,

I'm planning to do a short landing to Regina in two weeks. I don't have any address in Regina/Canada to give to IRCC officer at Port of Entry. Can anyone please suggest what can I do?

Also, if anyone did short landing here, please share the steps that you have followed.

Thanks in advance.

Yes you could stay in Toronto and after that continue your travel to Regina.

In my case I had 8 hours of connection flight, so I went to Toronto Downtown using the metro you pay 25 cad for a round trip (family ticket)
after that I continued my flight.

All you have to do is rent a mailbox at UPS , they are going to give you a physical address in Regina, after that
they are going to forward your pr cards to your country. (also use this address to receive information from your Bank,
when you open your bank account and get your credit card)

you can contact them here :
http://theupsstore.ca/228/

Rent for a period of 3 months (in my case I received my PR card 1 1/2 months after my landing), also
be clear with them that you are going to receive the PR card of all the member of your family because
you need to fill some forms.

be sure to take a look to Wascana Lake !!!

best luck

When you arrived in Regina, just go to any UPS location and ask. Worst case scenario is not updating your Canadian address to CIC, return to home country and get a PRTD from your visa office.
