Hi!
Me and my girlfriend(soon to be wife) decided to move(or try to) to canada after we marry.
Whats the best way to go about it?
So far i've read here that there are 4 ways;
*student visa(however one needs to apply to a college in canada)
*permanent job
*the other job thingie where the employer has to show proof that no other CAN citizen applied for the position
*come as a tourist and look for a job.

I'm 27y old and i live in Slovenia(EU). Things(economy mostly) here have been pretty bad for a while and its only going downhill.
So i talked things through with my gf and decided to go live somewhere, where we could start and afford a family at least.
My mother has some family(uncle and 3 cousins) in canada. Does this make things any easier?

You can find the official immigration website here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp

You are right about your options. You can look in the immigration section of the website for ways to immigrate directly which in most cases now involve having a job offer (AEO) verified by Service Canada.

If you can get an employer to apply for a labour market opinion for you and prove they can find nobody else, you might be able to get a work permit.

If one of you goes to college/university and you are married, the other can get an open work permit.

Can your relatives help you get a job offer? That would help.

As far as i've read, getting that kind of a job offer is really hard. And having a highschool diplomadoesent help much. We plan oto try our luck in 2013. Guess its time to start spamming the job market with my CV.

Having my relatives help would be easier because theres less paperwork involved in migrating or because people will rather hire someone who is a relative of someone they know?

The same amount of paperwork but easier to get a job offer through networking as is the case everywhere in the world.
