Moving to Canada from USA

I have a MS in mechanical and have been working in a manufacturing industry for the past 3 years. Since my h1 visa is not issued and I have only 3 months left to stay in US am planning to move to Canada by enrolling a one year course. I would like to what courses are best to find a job in Canada. Suggestions are welcome.

Masters would be best. If your objective is to get PR, you should take at least a 2 year course in Canada so that you qualify for a 3 year work permit afterwards.
