i want to ask if any one in this forum has shipped his own furniture from his home country to canada?does it woth or instead buying furniture from canada much easy?

please share your experience as i live in Dubai and i plan to ship my furniture to canada.

Not really,

The whole stuff costed me about 8,000 $ (one holl + one bed room)

I really have emotional feeling toward the furniture as it is brand new I have it for less than 7 months that's why,

Is somebody paying for your relocation, and providing accommodation? I don't think so.
As being myself already an immigrant to one country, moved from place to place quite a few times and from the experience of others (family and friends):
DON'T.
The reasons:
1. You wouldn't have place to put it for a few months. Maybe years.
2. Transportation cost would be too expensive. Most probably you be able to buy new (better and fresh)one with those money and the one you get after you sell it in your country.

It is just too much hassle. Not worth the efforts unless it is brand new, exclusive and could be sold in Canada with great profit.

I am not even thinking to bring our 50" plasma TV, let alone furniture

In fact furniture is cheap and available on easy monthly instalment with 6 month to 18 month no payment plan and 0% interest charges plan. Check these site for more details.

The brick and ikea mainly sell low quality furniture. If yours are better quality, I recommend you ship here.

Last year, I shipped my furniture from China to Canada. This was my customs clearance experience with CBSA:

It certainly worth than buying furniture from Canada. At the very least, sizes of IKEA beds are different in the two countries and higher quality leather sofas are difficult to find in Canada.

DON'T. (that's because you didn't do enough research for each move in the past )
The reasons:
1. You wouldn't have place to put it for a few months. Maybe years.
That's why it's important to take measurements of your soon-to-be home to see whether your furniture from home can fit or not. As soon as the furniture are delivered and set up, they can be used immediately.
2. Transportation cost would be too expensive. Most probably you be able to buy new (better and fresh)one with those money and the one you get after you sell it in your country.
When you compare to high quality furniture sold in Canada, transportation cost is not much actually. Not to say new ones might not suit your taste and you might spend more time.
If you shop at IKEA, you might still have to pay for the transportation to deliver your purchase to your home, unless you have big car or a friend giving you a lift.

It is just too much hassle. Not worth the efforts unless it is brand new, exclusive and could be sold in Canada with great profit.
Not much hassle. But you can't really ship anything which is brand new as per instruction of CBSA website

Even though I-Mac is cheaper in China than in Canada, I rather bought it in Canada because worrying about the voltage problem. However, I should have bought it in USA.
