I have been living in Winnipeg for the past two years while pursuing my Bachelor's degree in Biological Science, and I have two more years remaining to complete my studies. I am accompanied by my spouse, who is currently on a spousal work permit. We are planning to relocate to Toronto for the remainder of my program.

I would like clarification on the following:

  1. What is the process to move my studies from Winnipeg to Toronto?
  2. If I apply for a new study permit and my application is refused, will my current study permit remain valid or will it be void?
  3. Will taking this approach have any impact on my future permanent residency application?

1.2. You need to get PAL and new study permit. Plus you need to explain why you are changing schools and cannot because of spouse's job. It can be refused since you were approved to study in Winnipeg. What school and program?
3. No.

Thank you so much.

Just to get clarity if my new study pemit got reject for any reason. Will it impact on my current study permit to study in winnipeg.

Have you spoken/applied to the various universities in Toronto to see if you will be accepted and what transfer credits you will be awarded? It is September are you not studying now? This is not a fast process. Are you trying to move next year? Assume you are aware that cost of living will be much higher in Toronto and universities more competitive. Tuition will also be much higher.
