Hello,

I am a Canadian currently living in Italy, and have been for almost the past 5 years with my husband who is Italian and our two children (dual citizenship). We are looking to move back to Mississauga with my mother, hopefully in time for my almost-4 year old to start school in the fall. I have an application here called the Sponsorship of a spouse application. Is this the application that I need to fill out to get things started? With this application can I get him permanent residency or is there another application that will get him in the country and then do the rest of the paperwork from there. I really dont want to split up the family as our kids are still quite young. I feel soo confused and stressed and dont know here to start. Does anyone have a step by step guide:)
Anyway, thank you to whoever can offer me some well needed information!!!

Yes you can apply while you are out of country. However, you will need to provide proof that you will be settling in Canada when he gets PR (i.e., job offer).

Start by reading the very first post in this thread.

Good luck!
