Hi,
Im just wondering if somebody can give me some advice regarding my mother's visa rejection. She is a Filipino CItizen but she applied her visit visa form Abu dhabi because she's residing there with my father (for more than 5 years). She's under my father's sponsorship, so as long as my father is holding a permanent visa (on employment) she can stay there without any work or employment.

The officer reason of rejecting her visa are:
1. Immigration status in country of residence
2. Current employment situation

Thanks for taking time in answering my question.

Is your mom working? Did she show any proof of her work?

OFWs generally have a harder time to get approved for TRVs.

My mom doesen’t have a work there. She’s under the visa of my father. She literally can stay there as long as my father is there. So I don’t see the point of asking an employment proof. She uploaded all the necessary documents showing that my father is the one supporting all her financial needs and she even show her assets and bank statement in the Philippines.

To give you an understanding of how TRVs are granted, if your mother is unemployed and has to depend on your father for finances, PLUS she is living away from her home country, it’s highly improbable she will be given a TRV in these circumstances.

Canada is looking for socio-economic ties, like full-time employment with a good salary. Applicants generally have to prove they can afford to pay the trip by themselves.

In other terms, how can she prove with hard evidence that she won’t TNT (be an illegal immigrant) in Canada? She already established that she is willing to be away from the Philippines, plus she doesn’t have her own job or money.
