Good evening,
I am in Ontario and I am working in a company under the IEC. My work permit is just expired but few days before I applied for a new work permit supported by an LMIA (because the work permit extension is not valid for IEC).
So right now I am in the implied status. Thanks to the help of the lawyer of the company that supported me in this process, we applied for a change of status as a visitor at the same time because we don't know if the LMIA result will be positive.
All the application is done by paper so it will take longer than the online one to give time to the company to process the request of the LMIA.

In this period, I am receiving job offers but I don't if I can accept and to start a selection process for a new company.
Can a company request an LMIA if my actual company is already requesting it?

Thank you for your help.

1. Sure you can be named on as many LMIAs as the companies want.
2. I hope you haven't continued to work, if you have, you have created a number of problems for yourself.
