More than 10 years since trouble with police

Hi everyone

Has anyone committed a crime in their teens (theft) and had problems with their visa, I'm worried something silly I did in my teens will affect the decision on my visa or delay the process since this event in my teens I have always been in a professional job and have passed (criminal background checks in the uk) to be able to work in banking.

My spouse had a shoplifting case 4 years ago, but he completed community service and the charges were dropped and removed from his criminal record but it happened inside Canada, so he still needed to get the rcmp and provide numerous court documents to prove what it was, what happened, that he completed his service and that the case was never reopened.

But I know that depending on the charge and how it was handled and how many times u have been in trouble and how long its been since it happened, will change how they deal with your visa.

I would suggest having all documents regarding the case available to send them, because there is a good chance even though it was 10 years ago in your teens they may still want information about it.

it was 17 years ago i had trouble with the police for theft i was 17 years old than in 2002 i was caught smoking some weed and was fined but since than have had a clean record and have not smoked since
