Hi Members,

Youve always been very helpful.

My Sis is a PR in Canada and for the time being taking care of her newborn.
I am gonna apply to CIO under FSW in a week.

Problem is my mom's Name is Same in her Secondary, Higher Secondary, Marriage Certificate and Passport.
But I guess her name is slightly different in my Sis's Provided docs to CIC while she applied to CIC 2 yrs ago. as my sis have mistakenly added my dad's last name with my mom's name. Yah, She did the mistake :(

Now tell me about the possible problems and Solution. for Me and my sis. What are the remedies now.

Tell ur sister to make a AFFIDAVIT thru any notary there it will work out fine.

So is your father's last name not there with your mother's name on her certificates?

My Mom passed her High school b4 she got married.
Her name is same on her, Marriage cert, High school cert, passport.
But sis made the mistake as I said.

as per name is concerned. Husband's name cant be associated with wife's name as this alters the original name. But I can show my Mom and dad's Marriage cert where They got their original name.

Whats the solution?
I am tensed. Pain !!

ok so you are talking about your mom's certificate and not your sister's certificate.

Husband's name cant be associated with wife's name as this alters the original name. What do you mean by this?

By the way, I don't think I am able to answer your question anyway because I haven't come across this myself. I am not sure I see wehre the problem is. Best to wait for PMM, Leon or BobbyB to answer. But that affadavit suggestion does make sense.

THANKS Rupesh, Would you pls pm them to comment on this thread?? pls?

Dear jnathan!
First let me know the followings.....

1. Whether your mom's name accurately given in passport of your sis used for canada?
2. If it is wrong, ok... then what about your sister academic docs.... Is there any document where your mom's name is given accurately... like National ID/ SSC/HSC/ Or if any.....
3. Is your father's name accurately given?
4. What about marriage document (Nikahnama) of your sis? Is it okay ( accurate mom's name)?

If I understand u correctly, You are looking for documents that will prove & verify that you have a sister who is a PR and is resident in Canada.
(You want and need the 5 POINTS)
In my view this should not be a big issue, "however you will need to scratch your left ear by using your right hand- over your head instead of just using your left hand to it".
Firstly, ask you sister to go to a Notary Public and swear an Oath that she unknowingly added the name of your Dad to your mum's name. In some countries e.g Pakistan, the wife takes the name of the husband after Marriage. (I don't know where you come from - but from your name Jonathan, I guess, it cannot be Pakistan?)
Secondly, Get a Notarized copy of your sisters BC, Your Mum's BC and your Dad's BC. Put them all together with yours.
(Now for this to work, the name of your parent's must be on both yours and your sister's birth certificate).
Thirdly, Get a notarized copy of your parent's marriage certificate.
Get proof that your sister is a PR and is resident in Canada.

And lastly, write a cover letter explaining the situation, hence the reason for all the attached documents.

Hope this helps.
