Hi everyone,

After asking a reference letter to my previous employer (University where I did my PhD and first postdoc), he told me that I was hired as a postdoc in April although I passed my exam in January. Obviously there was some administrative things on going and that is why I was only hired as such in April. In the meantime, I was still paid but still had the PhD student status. The problem is that I totally forgot about that and when filling my express entry profile, I entered that I started my postdoc in February. Now I'm really upset to myself >:(
In the end without these two months of employment (february and March) I will still have the same score, i.e I will still get the points for the 1 or 2 years foreign experience.
However I am a little bit afraid that they could refuse my application for misrepresentation (although it is not such a huge deal, but still wrong information).
I can modify the info before I upload the documents but I am still wondering if they will not check point by point everything I entered in my initial express entry profile, or if they will just see that I still fall within the points.

I am thinking of withdrawing my profile to re-create a new one. Or should I just try and write a letter of explanation while uploading the letter from my employer?

If you have any advice it would be great!

Many many thanks!

You can still use this ITA if you can show you have points greater than or equal to the cut off of the draw in which you got invitation. Also verify that you have 67 points in fsw point grid (if you are applying under fsw).
