hi,
I guess they all work in canada. However, canadian wirless providers have mobile plans where you could get free or half paid latest mobile phones with your wireless plan. I would say go for an Iphone :D. that is the trend over there.

they have got "PLANS" (they call it "CAP" in Australia)... you get the latest mobile phones with plans... My suggestion is not to buy any phone as of now... First land over there... see the best suitable plan/cap for u...and go ahead...

I have been using one specific number since 10 years...may it be local/national/international... and i use to keep one compatible phone for that... if u have similar requirements, then take any tri-band phone which works on Canadian frequency... (i have not researched about it as i have not yet received visa...)... but yeah, i know, Qorax has posted something on it, on some another thread..and he has given vert helpful technical info...about frequency...
