It's a civil matter, not a criminal one. It will NOT show up on a PCC as it's not an offence.

Thanks Zardoz, but my friends in UK told that , the police personnel visited the house in 2008 enquiring about me. I left UK in 2007 , apparently my visa was coming to close to expiry. While moving out from UK , this phone contract was completely slipped out of my mind.

Re: Breaching Mobile contract is a offence?

The police would not be at all interested in a mobile phone contract. Must have been something else, OR they were not police but were debt collectors or bailiffs. Those are still civil and not criminal. If your PCC is clean, then there is nothing to worry about. Hopefully, it will say "NO TRACE".

Re: Breaching Mobile contract is a offence?

Zardoz,
You are right , perhaps I am worring too much . They could be debt collectors.
Thank you very much for your valuable inform

Re: Breaching Mobile contract is a offence?

You should get in touch with your mobile company or the debt collection agency to pay the initial outstanding amount due without any penalty. This is the right thing to do.

Canada really does not want people who breach contracts , D & D, don't pay loans and try a disappearing act. Habbits die hard and will find yourself in court some day !

Re: Breaching Mobile contract is a offence?

But if you breach a contract in Canada or default on a payment, it will be the worst thing you would do in your life.

hi,
Thanks for the valid info, Just to provide detailed info , Iam just going by what my friends in UK said. I have not recieved any mail / e-mail from the service provider.I had valid reason need to leave the country

Re: Breaching Mobile contract is a offence?

I would certainly find out from the service provider and pay the due :)

Hi p_sreenath,

I am in similar situation like you. I left UK and now applying for study permit in UK. I also breached the mobile phone contract and have some credit card bills to pay. Could you please share what coolguy sent to you in PM. Thanks

Here's some advice... Pay your debts.
You will have problems in the uk if you don't and you want to study there.
Your bad credit history will be waiting for you.
