Mistake with employment dates

I have mostly been a contract employee ESL teacher in the past. I did the best I could with dates, although I don't have exact employment dates. I noticed, however, after I sent in my PR and OWP paperwork that my work dates are different than the dates I put on my visitor extension (also awaiting approval). I worked SO HARD on all of my paperwork and now I noticed the dates don't agree. Someone suggested try to send in a change form, but I think it will be too confusing to try to explain. Should I wait if they ask? I am a nervous wreck! Thank you in advance.

How far off are the dates? If it is just a few days or weeks, I would just leave it alone. If it is many months or even a year, then perhaps you need to update IRCC.
