There's a mistake in my gcms notes.

Country of birth is mentioned as Canada instead of Switzerland. However city of birth is correct as Geneva

I checked all my forms and I didn't find any mistake. Maybe it's a mistake by ircc .
Is there anything I can do to correct it?

Thanks

I ask because I have seen this before, where CIC edited a country of citizenship field to reflect a country of residence, while leaving other biographical detail the same. Personally, I believe that this is something where the GCMS printout doesn't reflect perfectly the labels the visa officers have in front of them.

So in short, if you are in Canada and you see this, don't worry. CIC still knows where you were born, they are just updating a field that they do in a lot of cases where the applicant is living outside of their country of birth.

Yes its inland. Sorry for earlier confusion with regards to your post

No problem.

So then, I would say that your situation is exactly what I've seen before. The visa officer is updating a field that to them looks like "Country where the applicant is right now," but in the GCMS print out, looks to us like "Country of citizenship."

Don't worry about it. They know your citizenship.

You can contact IRCC via web form to bring this to their attention. The ATIP division of IRCC which provided you with the GCMS notes does not make corrections but you can contact them at IRCC.ATIP-AIPRP.IRCC@cic.gc.ca
