My hubby has sent sponsorship appln for our baby who is 3 months old. me and my baby are residing in india. Its been a month now and still havent heard from CIC.
I have seen mostly they approve sponsorship within a month's time(i saw various applicants' timelines) but we still didnt receive any AOR or letter from CIC.

Could anybody tell how long we should wait to hear from CIC? Will they send a mail and only after that we can check our E-Cas status? Also kindly tell New Delhi's processing time---who had already sposored their spouses or children?

As per my knowledge New Delhi's standard timeline is 4 to 6 months according to the case.

Go to the link below and review for time line:

Hi Rachel,

New Delhi came in fastest list... 80% case they do finalized in 6 months.
i hope soon u will be hear by them.

for more detail find New Delhi in this cic chart.

The average timeframe to approve a sponsor was in the past one month. Now, if you check CIC's website, applications received up to May 6, 2010 receive approval of the sponsor in, on average, 49 days. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp#sponsorship So you'll likely have to wait a few weeks longer before your husband gets his sponsor approval letter. Once that is completed, then the application is sent to New Delhi where current processing time is 2-6 months.
