Missing parents DOB on Schedule A

Posting this again just to see if anyone has gone through the same thing - trying to fill out Schedule A but we are not sure of the parent's DOB. Usually for the TRV we put * but we can't validate the form if we do this. Does anyone have any suggestions or has anyone found a way to get around this issue?

My mom got accepted for PGP 2017 and we received email close to end of April. I sent the application in last week of July 2017. I have neither received any confirmation of the received application nor any email correspondence from CIC. I am worried about the status. How do i check her application status? She doesn't have any identification type to fill in Client Application Status form online at this webpage: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/authenticate.do#form . Thanks. Please help.
